Always held on the 2nd Saturday of each month in downtown Tucson, locals and visitors alike find lots to see and do at Downtown Saturday Night.
There is outdoor entertainment offerred on the second Saturday and most of the shops, restaurants, and clubs are open during this event. There are also street vendors selling food, arts and crafts, and lots of other fun things. It starts at 5:30 and ends at 10:30. It’s family friendly, too.
There are multiple food vendors including: Grill (24 hours), On a Roll, A Steak in the Neighborhood, Jimmy John’s, The HUB, Subway, 47 Scott, Cup Café at Hotel Congress, Maynard’s, Enoteca, Caffe Milano, Café Poca Cosa, and El Charro Café.
Many of them offer specials during these events, too, so check around as you wander outside listening to the music and taking in some local flair. We’ve seen many of the restaurants post their menus outside so you can catch a glimpse as you are walking around.
it was dubbed Downtown Saturday Night, but over time the name evolved
to 2nd Saturdays Downtown so that people wouldn’t be confused as to
which Saturday it’s taking place in downtown Tucson.
Whatever the name,
this is a really cool event to check out, and it doesn’t have to cost
you any money. The outdoor entertainment is always FREE, and each event
showcases different entertainment including music and dancing.
is also free on most streets downtown (meters are free on nights and
weekends), or you can also pay $2 for parking all evening at the
Pennington street garage.
This is one of the most fun things to do in
Tucson, in our opinion, and we always tell new residents and visitors to
check it out. It’s also a great way to check out the Rialto, Club
Congress, and The Fox Theater – all part of the unique culture that
makes Tucson feel like a small town.
