Gate Square, located directly west of the University of Arizona is
filled with fun things to do in Tucson. Main Gate Square contains one
of our favorite restaurants in Tucson, a self-proclaimed “modern
gastropub” called Wilko.
is a great Tucson restaurant that uses many delicious locally-produced
and organic ingredients, including grass-fed organic beef from the
Double Check Ranch in Winkelman, Arizona. Wilko offers an upscale take
on classic comfort food like macaroni and cheese and hamburgers. We
love to pair their tomato basil soup with their decadent gruyere grilled
Wilko is a great place to eat in Tucson no matter what time of day you go. They serve breakfast from 8am to 11am Monday through Friday, and 8am to 12pm on the weekends. Come enjoy their organic oatmeal with seasonal fruit and nuts, or french toast and a mimosa in the morning. At night, Wilko is a perfect place to go for drinks with friends. Their lemon drop martinis are our favorite! They have 11 domestic beers on tap, and a wide variety of wines available by the glass or bottle. When you go, don’t forget to order some of Wilko’s delicious artisan cheeses and salume, including goat gouda, pepato, and sopresata. We definitely plan on working our way through the menu!
Wilko is open from 8am-10pm Monday through Saturday, and 8am-9pm on Sundays. Be sure to check them out on Facebook for special Happy Hour offers!
